Nuestro Camino

I can’t remember my life without my cousin Maga, nor can I imagine a life without her. This painting is an ode to our path. I saw her grow and create next to me and very far away, and our love never changed no matter the distance. Life keeps us on the same path for a reason, and I’m extremely grateful for it. This painting includes everything, from our childhood, to our losses and traumas. It portrays love, depression, rage, peace, anxiety and happiness. This is everything that we have lived so far deconstructed into brush marks, colors and shapes.
