Despedida

This diptych tackles a theme really close to my heart which is migration. The painting shows hearts coming out of their ribcage trying to be together again, but they are never going to be able to be together again since they are supported on different canvases. This is not only my reality, there are currently 5.6 millions of Venezuelans who are away from their families due to the humanitarian crisis.
