This is the street where I grew up running, where I scraped my knees and learned how to bike in. Since the crisis in my country got worse it wasn’t the same anymore and we never went back. Today, that part of the country still keeps the culture alive, which is why the black and white part of this painting has colored symbols of our culture that represent that our culture is stronger than our situation as a country.
