Installation In 2006, ex-president Hugo Chavez decided to add one star to our flag making seven stars into eight seeking to enforce the intentions of the Venezuelan military and politicians; and as a symbol of the socialism that ruined our country. Nowadays, Venezuela is ripped in two, those who are represented by the seven stars and those who are represented by the 8th one. Knowing how many stars you accept, tells others what political side you belong to.
