Study after Frida’s “The Two Fridas (1939)”

This artwork is an appropriation of The two Fridas by Frida Khalo (1939). Inspired by her work I decided to recreate my own version of her painting. My intention is to communicate the duality in my theme which is the crisis and the culture, which today go “hand in hand” in Venezuela. This painting shows the characterization of each persona (crisis and culture) as a representation of the themes that are being explored in my first body of work.
